Objective
Students will be able to:
- Demonstrate various color schemes and techniques using watercolor as the medium.
- Practice care for brushes
- View watercolor artists for ideas and inspiration

Requirements

Project #1: Practice Sheet with different techniques
Demonstrate the following 8 techniques: Wet on Dry, Wet on Wet, Graded Wash, Dry Brush, Splatter, Tape Resist, Wax Resist, Scratch/Scrape
*There are many other techniques. Experiment and practice others you find!

Project #2: Monochromatic Still-Life Painting
Create a painting using one hue, plus tints and shades of that hue.
Must be of an object in front of you
Must use one resist
(DOL: Fulfillment of Requirements.)

Project #3: Complementary Color Painting
Create a painting using complementary colors
Subject is student’s choice, but must be representational and not copy-written
(DOL: Fulfillment of Requirements.)

Project #4: Watercolor + Ink Painting
Create a painting using color scheme of your choice, plus adding ink.
Subject is student’s choice, but must be representational and not copy-written
