Special Education Lessons: 4/28 & 4/29

Directions For Today's Assignment:
There are 7 Elements of Art: Value, Form, Shape, Color, Space, Texture, and Line. Today we will focus on TEXTURE.
1. Look at the types of texture.
2. Watch the video about texture.
3. Create 2-3 texture rubbings of various textures you can find!
4. Take a photo and attach it to an email to me.
Types of Textures
There are 2 main types of texture:
1. Real or Actual Texture. This is when you can actually feel the texture you're touching. For example; the bottom of your shoe may look bumpy and you could actually feel the bumpiness if you were to touch it.
2. Simulated or Implied Texture. This is when the texture you're looking usually feels smooth, but looks like another texture. For example; the tables in our art room look like wood, but they feel smooth.
