Mixed Media Water Project

Objective
Students will be able to:
- Demonstrate various color schemes and techniques using water as the medium.
- Practice care for brushes
- View water media and artists for ideas and inspiration

Requirements
1.     Concept (Idea/Originality)
2.     Composition (Engaging Point-of-View)
3.     Craftsmanship (At least 2 media, light/shadow, technique)
4.     Artist's Statement (Why and how was this created?)

Practice with the following media:
- Sketch & Wash Pencils
- Watercolor Colored Pencils
- Watercolor
- Ink
- Coffee

Process
1. Practice techniques with the above media
2. Research composition
3. Choose a subject to create and at least 2 media to use
4. Draw thumbnails of chosen subject to demonstrate composition.
5. Get 12" x 18" watercolor paper
6. Make 1/2" border
7. Create piece using chosen media
